I feel like we need a word to distinguish heritage americans from the entity of america itself as the two are by now very clearly distinct entities.

i feel america and canada and to a lesser extent australia are countries that were artificially injected with the trappings of a culture but they lack the vital essence, the roots that grip a people to the soil of their country
i also feel as though religion replaced culture in america

Canada's history I'm very hazy on. There was something there, but it was also destroyed. Same with the other anglo colonies that've persisted into nation-states.
