You will always have an upper class and a lower class. The only real way to have people form a society where the upper class cares about the lower class is if things are based on race.

The communists and the "capitalists" routinely end up working together, and have in the past. The Communist revolution in Russia was funded by Wall Street through Jacob Schiff.

For a modern day example just look at how Black Lives Matter has complete corporate support behind it.

It's extremely refreshing to be able to look at things that I was put off by as a child but didn't know why, to now be able to see the reasons for my instinctual distaste.
