As a rule I never put 100% of my faith in something and never 100% doubt something, because it leaves you unable to change your mind and thus you lose some part of your free will.

@heidegger14 A "norm" is something that is deemed acceptable behaviour. So they are not normal, they follow society's norms. It doesn't matter who is in charge, as long as those norms are pushed a normie will follow them mindlessly.

@Jackuu @WoodshopHandman That's true, a massive company raising its wages like that would cause a large upset. I assume they thought that immigration would keep wages low indefinitely. So now they're pivoting to things like automation to try and keep the mess of a system going.

Women are expected to make money and support themselves first and foremost, instead of how it was historically in that they would get a husband to do that first and then do light work after they have already raised children.
It's about the priority of job > children that causes massive fertility loss. Same with birth control to view sex as a pleasure activity, so people start dating just to have sex instead of stay together.

@typicker @Distolero @RacistReimu @verita84 Japan was in a huge economic boom during the 80's and it's barely a dent. The far bigger impact is women having working careers.
