That's because the developers only take fees off of the marketplace, the majority of the money put in goes to other players. So if nobody wants to spend money on the game then nobody else will earn anything

Currently there are about 160k people playing it, and it has something like 2 million daily active players on average. A lot of them are in 3rd world countries who play on other people's accounts and split the earnings

@Suzu A ponzi scheme is when people don't know where the money is coming from. In this case you know exactly where the money is coming from, people spending it.

It's like with any "games as a service" game if nobody is spending money then the developers don't get any. Just in this case the money is being split between devs and players.

@Immahnoob @Suzu I don't think so, since it still has personal ownership in various ways. NFTs are essentially digital property rights, even if they aren't being used in many ways yet
