@Arkana alternatively: you may adopt "believe the opposite of what the TV says" as a heuristic for topics you don't have time to become an expert on nor have any friends who have invested such time
@liam You can't exactly do that, because you're still letting them dictate your beliefs. More often than not the truth is in what they omit as well, not just lie about
