@WashedOutGundamPilot @Koropokkur @SNEK @tengumatingpress @Giganova8 Ah with the musculature thing i’d say it depends a lot on what muscles are being worked on and how much, iirc a gymnast has a more even muscular work and gain than a weight lifter, since weight lifting only targets narrow sets of muscles meanwhile gymanstics requires a broad set of muscles to contribute to the movements to maybe that is why gymnasts later develop the fridge figure.

Everything just broadens out, they get bigger quads, arguably lots of useful changes to help survive (probably made childbirth a breeze for one of them in particular) but sis pointed out that not all of them stayed lithe graceful swans. Whatever the ratio it happens at it’s enough for her to swear off letting her daughters do the same lest they “end up like nicole”

Think about power lifters for a second, they need a broad core to properly support the impact of lifting very large weights sbove their heads very fast, that would put a lot of strain on the vertebral column, however with a broad lower torso that impact can be dustributed across a large surface of muscle mass.

Now think of what gymnasts do, those jumps, spins, backflips and the ones where they land on their hands, all those moves put a lot of impact and strain on the spine, so to compensate their torsal muscles begin to broad out to absorb the impact as an adaptation and that may be exactly why they end up attaining the fridge figure.
