Idk, At this point I wanna write software that I would use on a daily basis. I want things to be less bullshit from my perspective and make shit that's perfect in my vision.
Like I would fork and change so much shit on Mumble to make it have features that works so well and things people like. I would have an XMPP client that brings that classic feel and is made so much better than PSI+ with full on Custom emoji support. The things I would love to make...
@anonicus Would be cool if you make a new xmpp client, I really dislike how modern xmpp clients look/work to the point considering using a selfhosted web client because native clients looks horrible

@anonicus @yuzuki My advice: if you go the Rust route, COSMIC is right around the corner and shaping up to be the next major desktop environment in the Linux world, if you get in early on writing applications for it, it will most likely cement your position as a valued contributor to the broader Linux ecosystem in a way that (say) trying to be noticed in the deluge of GTK and Qt based FOSS projects wouldn't
