Most people probably don't know, but Eilene is probably what you would call the first vtuber. This was in 2014
@zero Probably the same reason they also have a cross and a gay flag. Deep cognitive dissonance
@LukeAlmighty So you also see freedom only as a means to an end, not the goal in and of itself. That's good, but if you idolize freedom, others won't get the same picture.
The left sees freedom as a means of achieving True Equality, by means of causing the worse off people to usurp the better off indefinitely.

@LukeAlmighty @TheVeryLutheranHousewife @Reanne13 @Aviz @icedquinn @dubh If you put freedom as the ideal you seek to strive towards you are always going to be pushing closer and closer to allowing freedom of acts that undermine your authority, your freedom, and the everybody's freedom overall.
This is why America allowed themselves to be controlled by people who do not care about freedom.
Trying to give people freedom as your goal is like giving a random child many sharp metal implements. Sure, they may construct a tool and be useful, or hurt themselves, or they can stab you in the back.

@LukeAlmighty @TheVeryLutheranHousewife @Reanne13 @Aviz @icedquinn @dubh The ultimate distinction is left wing is equality and right wing is hierarchy.
In the pursuit of ultimate equality they no longer care about freedom.

@LukeAlmighty @TheVeryLutheranHousewife @Reanne13 @Aviz @icedquinn @dubh Yeah freedom from responsibility, family, truth, etc.
Not all freedom is good, and not all control is bad.

@Aviz @LukeAlmighty @Reanne13 @TheVeryLutheranHousewife @dubh @icedquinn Even wikipedia with all its bias still gets this right.

@judgedread @Shadowman311 The reason they care so much about "optics" is that if they said their true beliefs and acted genuinely everybody would hate them.
@fluffy @MelGibsonafter4Beers They're obviously worried more about safety than appearing like a good person. At least their own personal safety, not the people they're supposed to be responsible for.
@fluffy @MelGibsonafter4Beers The usual answer is "Oh they're just naive people who got tricked into believing a genocidal maniac!" as if that would never happen to them
@MelGibsonafter4Beers Oh and this one too

@MelGibsonafter4Beers You can tell who the real tyrants are by how they distance themselves from the people

@JinjerZillq Just a heads up, you might get banned from places like OpenSea and Rarible if they get too much attention. Currently Mintable is still letting stuff like Stonetoss's nfts get sold
I think much of Walt Disney's perspective on religion is very good. However he also bought into the idea that "We have to respect all religions" even the ones that want to undermine his creations. He would be very disappointed in the current state of his company after it's been left in Jewish hands.

@mametsuko In Canada we don't do that, because boots track in mud and snow. I do use slippers at home though
@Aether @basadeskaiser @cirnog Of course. The general American public not only allowed Jewish people to buy up things like movie studios, book publishers, and record labels, but didn't mind that they were creating a monopoly.
Any success that stimulates the American public's emotions is an exception and not the rule.

@Shadowman311 How about the fact that the dislike button doesn't fucking work.
@cirnog @Aether @basadeskaiser The problems generally is that Christian stories and entertainment come off very heavy handed in their message. They are intended to teach just as much if not more than to be enjoyed, which is admirable but not necessarily fun to watch.
I enjoyed Veggie Tales as a kid, but wouldn't watch it over something like Pokemon of course.
The early Disney movies could be considered the best balance between teaching morality and making it enjoyable. Most of the early Japanese creators like Osamu Tezuka and Shigeru Miyamoto used Disney as a direct inspiration after all.
