@graf The smart ones just use a VPN anyways
@Immahnoob @Suzu I don't think so, since it still has personal ownership in various ways. NFTs are essentially digital property rights, even if they aren't being used in many ways yet
@Suzu A ponzi scheme is when people don't know where the money is coming from. In this case you know exactly where the money is coming from, people spending it.
It's like with any "games as a service" game if nobody is spending money then the developers don't get any. Just in this case the money is being split between devs and players.

@Suzu Playing the game earns you a cryptocurrency. You can use that to breed more characters or just sell it. Personally I have already made a good amount off of it. That's because the developers only take fees off of the marketplace, the majority of the money put in goes to other players. So if nobody wants to spend money on the game then nobody else will earn anything
Currently there are about 160k people playing it, and it has something like 2 million daily active players on average. A lot of them are in 3rd world countries who play on other people's accounts and split the earnings

@Suzu The biggest NFT project is Axie Infinity, which you need NFTs to play the game. They aren't just images, they work as a lock and key mechanism
@SlinkyDreams Same at 5, although non-human robots can be cute sometimes too
Somebody just mentioned the show The Good Place, which I haven't seen but it's supposed to be about heaven. I immediately thought "I bet that was made by a Jew" and lo and behold

@SlinkyDreams Yeah there are a lot of cute humanoid robots!
@happypirate @Free_Idealist @nobullyplz Yeah in a healthy society people wouldn't need to turn to things like speedrunning or grinding in MMOs. These people CLEARLY want to do work or practice getting better, but don't you think they would do it in a way that earns them money or helps people if they could?
Video games are simply the easiest way to fulfill those desires when the rest of society has no desire to give people real opportunities.
It's not just about "applying yourself" if it takes hundreds of applications to even get a shitty minimum wage job where the bosses and other employees don't want you around.

@doug Every single time they say somebody "Died of covid" I will immediately assume they died of vaccine complications
@graf When I take b vitamins my urine ends up being a very deep yellow. If you can, split the pills in half because they're usually too much for me at least

@fiddle Now that's an ideal woman right there
@PrettyHateMachine Thanks you too. I definitely rely on the internet too much for my socialization
@EmmaFaber I could talk to you about genetics and biology but I don't think you will care about what I have to say or the actual facts of the matter. And would you prefer I post images of "traditional" women instead?

@LouisConde Kingdom Come Deliverance is probably the closest to that. It's set in 1403 Bohemia. I'd love more historical games like that
